A HEMP WATER BOTTE CARRIER
This is made with an open stitch pattern. A great way to use up small amounts of yarn . . . less than one 50 gr ball. FINISHED SIZE: TO FIT 500ML WATER BOTTLE SKILL LEVEL: Beginner with some experience knitting in the round NEEDLES: 3.25m (3US) double pointed needles (dpn) YARN: 50 grams HH6-strand 100% hemp RND 1: *Yo, p2tog*, rep to last stitch; yo, p1, yo. RND 2: *K2tog, yo*, rep to last 3 sts; sl 1 (kw), k2tog, psso. CO 6 sts onto 3 needles. Join in round being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker (pm) after first st. RND 1: Knit. RND 2: *yo, k1*, repeat to end - 12 sts. RNDS 3-5: Knit.RND 6: Repeat Rnd 2 - 24 sts. RNDS 7-12: Knit. RND 13: Repeat Rnd 2 - 48(64) sts. Bottom of tote is finished. RNDS 1-8: Knit. It is necessary to decrease several stitches before starting purse stitch pattern. RND 9: *K1, k2tog*,rep to last 3 sts, k3.end of round - 31( ) sts. length. Remember that the water bottle will stretch this pattern considerably. RND 34: *K1, inc 1 st, k2*, rep to end. - 44 sts RNDS 1-6: Knit. RND 7: BO 3 sts, p19, BO 3sts, purl to end. RND 8: CO 3 sts, k19, CO 3sts, knit to end. RNDS 9-12: Knit. BO loosely. Work seed stitch pattern for approx. 48" or to desired length. ALL ROWS: *K1, p1*, rep to last stitch, k1. FINISHING: Put strap ends through slits in top of tote and sew securely in place. Optional: Place hair elastic in top of tote. Sew in place stretching elastic out. Sew BO edge to inside of tote. Sew in all loose ends.
